On Wednesday, July 15th Good Morning America highlighted the unique circumstances where Erica and Jake Rinker helped save a woman's leg enroute to their wedding reception. New Scholarship Available:

The Rural Anesthesiology clerkship scholarship is offered through the American Society of Anesthesiologists. For information go to http://www.asahq.org/msd/ and look at the third item under "What's New" on the right side of the webpage. Third year students can consider the scholarship program before going into their fourth year clerkships.

Criteria include:

-- Must be a Medical Student member of ASA.

-- Must be a third- or fourth-year medical student in an approved program in
    the U.S.

-- Must have a mentor who will oversee the activities of the medical student
    during the rotation.  The mentor also must be an ASA member.

-- Must complete the rotation and submit a Satisfaction Evaluation form
    upon completion of the rotation.  The mentor will complete a similar form.
